PGE Arena achieve the treble for Euro 2012 Championships!
Forty two thousand fans – and millions of colour TV (CTV) viewers – will enjoy brighter soccer during the UEFA European Football Championships next year.
The PGE Arena in Gdańsk, northern Poland - one of eight new-build venues constructed for the Euro 2012 tournament - has chosen Thorn’s high efficiency floodlighting systems. You could say they have brought off a treble, although the treble in this context is not soccer’s traditional honours, but a unique installation of three floodlighting types.
Over the pitch Mundial projectors, employing 2kW metal halide lamps, provide excellent player and spectator viewing, specifically to meet CTV and UEFA standards. The stands are lit by flat glass Troika floodlights while the 2,100 space car park boasts an impressive Areaflood scheme.
