Thorn’s Travelling Light III tour of Europe ended, as it began, with impressive customer numbers in Lyon on 25 June 2009. The roadshow, which lasted for nine months, consisted of a mobile showroom that took the latest innovative lighting products to the customer, rather than vice versa. The vehicle and its impressive 10m high presentation dome visited 38 events in 12 countries, covering over 25,000 kilometres. Over 3,400 customers, including contractors,clients, architects and specifiers - were able to see the latest product developments and take in a varied programme of supporting presentations.  The performance, efficiency and comfort (PEC) programme received an excellent response from many participants,who learned how sustainability will impact on tomorrow's lighting. 

After a short break - for an exterior focussed revamp - the Thorn team is looking forward to the Travelling Lightshow branching out into Germany for the first time in September and October 2009 - dates and venues to be announced. The tour supports the summer announcement of Thorn's new German partner for outdoor lighting products, Vulkan Außenleuchten GmbH, part of the Hess Group.
