Thorn back on the road

01 August 2007

Once again the mobile showroom, as the title suggests, enables customers to experience “hands-on”, the latest developments in luminaires and systems. Following the resounding success of its inaugural touring exhibition last year, which visited 88 venues throughout Europe, Thorn’s Travelling Light II 2007/8 promises more attractions, lectures and effects this year.

The tour commences September 10, 2007 at Ostrava in the Czech Republic and will visit 48 major cities in 11 European countries during the next eight months. Nearly 30 product ranges (forty per cent new) from spotlights to road lanterns, are displayed on the 16m long trailer, which now features a marquee for presenting urban lighting effects.

The exhibition will be supported by product handling sessions, and a series of presentations of PEC (Performance, Efficiency and Comfort) the dynamic, results-orientated programme that underpins Thorn’s approach to delivering better lighting, better efficiency and a better environment, sustainably.

An illustrated catalogue, Product Focus, accompanies the touring exhibition.

In 2006/7 the show reached thousands of customers, travelling to many notable European venues – from Wembley Stadium to Italy’s Ca’ La Ghironda Museum of Modern Art.
