A new, practical dimension to the display scene
D-CO LED is Thorn’s new range of ‘contractor friendly’ LED luminiares which has the flexibility to master almost any decorative indoor or outdoor lighting solution and – furthermore - the collection comes ready for fitting with clever kit forms available for most models.
There are eight “families” of interior fittings, spearheaded by fixed and multi-directional recessed downlights. Designed with one, three or six Osram LEDs, in 1.2W and 3W ratings, the units are available in five beam widths and there are also dimming options. Just great for replacing 20-35W MR16 halogen fittings or where emphasis lighting is required. In similar vein, but for ground recessing are three different sized fittings using blue or white 1.2W LEDs (individual or clusters) and cool-to-the-touch clear or frosted glasses. IP67/68 rated, the large fitting also takes 14W CFL or 50W low volt halogen.
Emphasising the LED’s small size and high brightness, Thorn has put it to another exciting use – as a projector! The indoor spotlight use a 3W LED head mounted on either a short stem or flexible arm while the more powerful outdoor floodlights, in two sizes, are for surface or spike mounting.
Equally exciting is a 116 mm square recessed wall light combining a 1.6W LED with an asymmetric reflector. The resulting wash of light is ideal for corridors and stairways.
Made in aluminium, the range comes in grey or natural aluminium for the wall light. For indoor use, white is an extra option. The buried units have stainless steel rings
