Thorn’s re-designed Civic lantern opens up a new world for municipalities and installers of street lighting. Apart from the essentials of good road lighting - high performance and durability - Civic now integrates sustainability and energy saving with quick and easy installation and operation. The new aluminium Civic has been specially designed to take the latest generation of metal halide lamps and digital dimmable control gear and there is an inbuilt energy management (Telea) version if required. 

Within one consistent design there is a choice of body size shallow bowl or flat glass, lamp options from 50 to 250W, vandal resistant versions and a residential distribution option for sites where a ''softer'' cut-off is required.

The new Civic delivers uniform lighting precisely when and where it is needed, making it one of the ‘best value’ and most versatile collections available for use on major traffic routes, secondary roads, town and city streets.
