Where energy consumption and maintenance is minimal. At Thorn Lighting we not only imagined it, we designed it and are now making a range of Orus luminaires. Orus optimises on the advantages of the latest generation of discharge lamps - low wattage (35W to 70W) metal halide – by placing them within a bi-directional optic. The result is a unique light distribution at a mounting height of 0.9m, under the line of sight of most vehicles. This innovative FlatBeam® optical technology offers engineers a unique alternative for road lighting, especially when tackling bridges, airports, locations facing extreme weather conditions and areas with obtrusive light or structural fragility concerns.
